What is a Japan rail pass ( JR Pass)?
The Japan rail pass can only be bought outside of Japan. So, please note that you purchase the ticket before you arrive in Japan.
There are 5 types of Japan Rail Pass
JR West Pass, JR East Pass, JR Hokkaido Pass, JR Kyusyu Pass and JR Shikoku Pass
The Japan rail pass is a special ticket only for travelers who come from foreign countries for sight-seeing.
To be eligible for this, YOU MUST HAVE “TEMPORARY VISITOR” VISA . Japan rail passes are not avaliable for people travelling on working holiday or student visas.
